Apcela Takes Home Three ISG Awards Focused on Software-Defined Networking and Services

Last month, ISG awarded Apcela three awards for its innovative software-defined networking and services during the ISG Americas Sourcing Industry Conference (SIC) held in Austin. Based on the findings from the July 2018 ISG Provider Lens™ Software-Defined Networking and Services Quadrant Report they include:

NETWORK SERVICES (VAS) QUADRANT LEADER

ISG named Apcela a Network Services (VAS) Quadrant Leader due to its strengths in “high performance/low latency networks, hybrid networks, multi-cloud and SD networking, especially in allowing smooth and accelerated application use and delivery.”

SD-WAN (DIY) RISING STAR

In this category, Apcela’s private network was noted for having “strong partner deals … with cloud, service and software suppliers” to “accelerate and ensure delivery of results” for enterprises and specific industry verticals.

MOBILITY RISING STAR

Apcela was a “Rising Star” in mobility as the company “has become successful and achieved recognition within this segment by utilizing its NaaS-oriented products – based around its AppHUB platform – enabling mobile employees to enjoy enhanced security and innovative mobility solutions.”

Overall, the company’s AppHUB technology was key to these wins. Enterprises turn to AppHUB to easily integrate with enterprise WANs creating secure, high-speed express lanes between enterprise data centers and applications, remote users and the cloud. AppHUB’s SD-WAN overlays enhance, or even replace, existing MPLS or hybrid WAN networks; and its distributed security platform improves performance by extending enterprises’ existing security environment and policies closer to users and cloud applications, ensuring applications are available to any user, on any device, anywhere in the world.
