Application delivery company Apcela recently closed a round of funding from existing investor and private equity firm Claritas Capital. Details of the round were not disclosed. Additionally, Jack Dziak was named president and COO. Founder Mark Casey remains at the company as CEO.
Apcela’s core product is AppHUB, a low-latency application delivery platform based on a distributed edge infrastructure. It uses software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) technology to bridge legacy premises-based IT and cloud environments and migrating enterprise WAN to an edge infrastructure that delivers performance and security for applications.
