Company Recognized as a Leader in Three Quadrants in the 2022 ISG Provider Lens Report

Reston, VA, July 20, 2022. Apcela, a leader in software-defined, cloud-optimized network services, today announced it has been recognized as Market Leader in three out of five quadrants, SDN Transformation Services (Consulting & Implementation), Enterprise Networks Technology and Service Suppliers, and Edge Technologies and Services in the 2022 Network – Software Defined Solutions and Services Providers Report for the U.S. by Information Services Group (ISG), a leading global technology research and advisory firm. The report further notes Apcela as Product Challenger in the Quadrant, Managed (SD) WAN Services.

This report is of particular importance due to the rapid digital transformation resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Enterprises are evaluating various means to increase their agility, flexibility, competitiveness, delivery structures, and remote working and continuity practices. This technological adaptation is leading to the transformation of established processes and traditional management practices.

“Apcela continues to innovate and provide advanced, faster and highly secure edge solutions.” – Dr. Kenn Walters, Distinguished Analyst, ISG Research and Lead Author of the 2022 U.S. Report.

Apcela is recognized in the ISG Provider Lens Report as it continues to develop new capabilities and service offerings. The 2022 report notes that “Apcela helps enterprises transition from their legacy, premise-based data center networks to dynamic, multicloud SD-WANs that push security to the edge using automation.”

“Continuing the trends from the last year, Enterprises expanded their Multicloud and Edge computing infrastructure footprint, in reach and in scale, with increased focus on Software Defined Networking in 2022. The differentiator this year is greater emphasis on cost efficiencies and optimization, reflecting the general market economics. Apcela’s unique strengths in the area of Software Defined Networking, especially in Edge Technologies and Multicloud Networking, along with the excellence in consulting and execution practices have helped us again to win the coveted ISG recognition, and we are honored to be leading in three out of five quadrants,” said Kunal Thakkar, Vice President of Product and Solutions Engineering at Apcela.

The highlight of Apcela’s solution is its Arcus Platform launched in early 2020 – an Enterprise Multicloud WAN solution that provides connectivity, intelligence, and security. The Apcela Arcus Platform is comprised of Arcus Connect, Arcus Secure, and Arcus Intelligence. Apcela Arcus Connect extends WANs across data centers, branch offices, distributed users, and the cloud complete with SaaS and IaaS On-Ramps. Apcela Arcus Secure layers on top of Arcus Connect to enable an enterprise to distribute security to the edge with 24/7 support. Apcela Arcus Intelligence is the final piece where the power of automation and network visibility help transform enterprises with APIs and portal insight.

Also vital in Apcela’s solution is its proprietary AppHUB. This cloud-based communication hub leverages virtualized network functions to deliver a complete, software-defined, application delivery stack. From switching, routing, and security to more advanced services like load balancing and WAN optimization, Apcela’s global network of AppHUBs deliver optimized application performance between premises and cloud-based applications and data.
